Inside the Labs: My R&D Workshop

Deck: I’ve opened a Labs page on my site, a public research-and-development workspace where I prototype worlds, test tools, and document reproducible workflows across digital arts and multimedia entertainment.

🔬 What the Labs are

The Labs are where I build in the open. You’ll find experiments, devlogs, case studies, and production notes across worldbuilding, publishing, comics, games, films, music, merchandise, apparel, and technologies, focused on process over hype. Every post aims to be a “show your work” breakdown that others can follow, adapt, and improve.

🗂️ How the page is organized

In each Lab section, you’ll see tables with compact snapshots of active projects with four columns:

  • Project. What I’m building.
  • Project Description & Versions. The current scope and iteration history.
  • Tools & Technologies. The exact stack used.
  • Work Done. A running log of concrete steps and milestones.

From there, deep-dive posts on the Atlantica Multimedia Labs website expand on methods, references, and short videos.

🗺️ What I’m working on right now

  • 🌎 Atlantica Continent Map: An ancient-era continental layout for the Atlantica Universe, designed in Photoshop and hand-built cartography. I’m documenting projection choices, coastline logic, and versioned drafts as the design tightens.
  • 🏝️ Atlantica Islands Map: A hidden archipelago at the southwestern end of the Bermuda Triangle, grown from a simple silhouette into a playable terrain. You’ll see Photoshop heightmaps, custom terrain sculpting, and Unreal Engine 5 flyovers to evaluate scale, slopes, and shorelines.
